If the grading needs to be fixed, or If your lawn is severely suffering, it may need to be re-sodded.  The general rule of thumb is when your lawn is less than 45% grass, it should be replaced. 

Here at The Friendly Green we make sure every step of the re-sodding process is complete to ensure a beautiful golf course like lawn.  We first apply Fiesta™ weed treatment.  Approximately 1 week later we remove the top layer of soil, weeds and vegetation.  We then add 1/2-1″ topsoil, to help level out the lawn.  We unroll strips of premium Kentucky Bluegrass, which is the best grass type available for Sod.  After the Sod is laid, it is rolled and fertilized.
